How an Electric Fence Works
An energizer converts mains or solar power into a high-voltage, low-current pulse released roughly once per second onto insulated fence wires. An intruder who touches a live wire completes the circuit to ground and receives a sharp but non-lethal shock.
If a wire is cut or shorted, the voltage drop is detected and the energizer triggers an alarm output — a siren, a strobe or a signal to your control room.
