Free-Standing Electric Fencing
Complete electric perimeters where there is no wall — built on galvanised steel poles or pressure-treated timber poles. We clear and set out the line, concrete or ram the poles, string and tension the wire, earth and commission the system for plots, farms, industrial sites and institutions across Kenya.

How a Free-Standing Electric Fence Works
Corner and strainer poles are set deep and braced to carry the wire tension. Intermediate line poles hold the strands at the correct spacing, with droppers between poles to stop wires being spread apart.
Steel poles are galvanised and concreted in — best for high-security, long-life perimeters. Treated timber poles are pressure-treated against rot and termites and suit farms and rural plots where cost per metre matters.
Every strand is carried on insulators, whether the pole is steel or timber, so the pulse stays in the wire. An IEC 60335-2-76 certified energizer sends a high-voltage, low-current pulse about once per second.
A contact completes the circuit to earth for a sharp, non-lethal shock. A cut, short or heavy vegetation load drops the voltage, which the energizer reports as an alarm to a siren, guard post or monitoring service.
System Capabilities
Galvanised Steel Poles
Hot-dip galvanised poles concreted at set intervals — rigid, long-lasting and ideal for security perimeters and industrial sites.
Treated Timber Poles
CCA- or creosote-treated eucalyptus poles for farms, ranches and rural plots, at a lower cost per metre than steel.
Strainers & Bracing
Corner, gate and in-line strainer assemblies with stays keep high-tensile wire tight over long runs.
Configurable Height & Strands
From low livestock fences to tall security fences with 10+ strands, specified to the threat and terrain.
Earthing System
Multiple bonded earth spikes sized to the energizer and soil — the single biggest factor in shock strength and alarm reliability.
Gates & Alarm Integration
Electrified or insulated gates, underground cable crossings, and alarm output to sirens, CCTV or a monitoring service.
Benefits of Automation
- Secures land that has no wall, at a fraction of the cost of masonry.
- Choose steel for maximum strength or timber for economy — or mix both.
- Visible, standing deterrent with an alarm when the fence is cut or shorted.
- Fast to install over long distances and uneven terrain.
- Solar options keep remote and off-grid perimeters live.
- Modular — add zones, strands, gates or CCTV as needs grow.
