Wall-Top Electric Fencing
Electric fencing mounted on top of existing perimeter walls for homes, gated estates, schools and commercial premises. We survey the wall, fix galvanised brackets, string high-tensile wire, earth the system and commission it with alarm output — mains or solar powered, anywhere in Kenya.

How a Wall-Top Electric Fence Works
Galvanised steel brackets are anchored into the wall top at regular intervals. They hold insulators that carry 4–12 high-tensile strands above the wall line, either straight up or angled outward/inward to make climbing over awkward.
An energizer — mains or solar with battery backup — sends a short, high-voltage, low-current pulse along the live strands roughly once per second. Energizers we supply are certified to IEC 60335-2-76, the international safety standard for electric fence energizers.
Anyone who grabs the wire while touching the wall or another strand completes the circuit and gets a sharp, non-lethal shock. Alternating live and earth strands make the shock reliable even where the wall top is dry and poorly earthed.
If a wire is cut, shorted to the wall or pulled down, the energizer detects the voltage drop and triggers its alarm output — a siren, strobe, or a signal to your control room, guard or monitoring company.
System Capabilities
Straight & Angled Brackets
Straight, single-angle or Y-brackets chosen to suit the wall height, the neighbouring property and the direction of the threat.
High-Tensile Wire
Galvanised or aluminium high-tensile conductors, tensioned with strainers so the strands stay tight and don't sag onto the wall.
Live & Earth Strand Layout
Alternating live and earth strands give a dependable shock and better alarm sensitivity on dry masonry.
Gate & Corner Detailing
Insulated underground cable carries the circuit across gates, and corners are braced with strain brackets to hold tension.
Warning Signage
Yellow electric-fence warning signs fixed at gates, corners and regular intervals along road-facing sections.
Alarm & Siren Integration
Tamper and low-voltage alarms wired to a siren, strobe, alarm panel or CCTV system for a verified response.
Benefits of Automation
- Raises the effective height of an existing wall without new construction.
- Highly visible deterrent that discourages most intruders before they try.
- Cut, shorted or climbed wires raise an alarm instead of failing silently.
- Neat, low-profile installation that suits residential and commercial facades.
- Solar backup keeps the fence live through KPLC power outages.
- Easily extended with extra strands, zones or alarm devices later.
