Solar Electric Fencing
Solar-powered electric fences that stay live through power cuts and in places the grid doesn't reach. We size the panel, battery and energizer to your fence length and site conditions, install them in a secure enclosure and commission the whole system — for homes, farms, conservancies and remote sites across Kenya.

How a Solar Electric Fence Works
A solar panel charges a deep-cycle battery through a charge controller during the day. The battery runs the energizer around the clock, so the fence keeps pulsing at night and through cloudy weather.
The system has to be balanced: on an average day the panel must put back more energy than the energizer uses, and the battery must hold enough reserve to ride through several sunless days. We size all three together rather than relying on the 'km' rating printed on the box.
The energizer — certified to IEC 60335-2-76 — converts battery power into a high-voltage, low-current pulse about once per second, delivered along the fence wires and returned through a properly sized earth system.
Low-battery, low-voltage and tamper alarms alert you to a problem before the fence goes dead. Where mains is available, a hybrid setup uses the grid as the primary supply and solar as automatic backup.
System Capabilities
Sized Solar Panels
Panels rated to the energizer's daily consumption, mounted at the right tilt and clear of shade from poles, trees and buildings.
Deep-Cycle Batteries
Sealed or lithium batteries with the capacity to run the fence through several days of poor sun.
Charge Controllers
Regulators that protect the battery from overcharging and deep discharge, extending its service life.
Certified Energizers
DC energizers from established manufacturers, matched to fence length, strand count and vegetation load.
Secure Enclosures
Lockable, weatherproof housings and anti-theft panel mounting for the energizer, battery and controller.
Hybrid Mains + Solar
Automatic changeover so the fence runs on mains when available and on solar during outages.
Benefits of Automation
- The fence stays live during KPLC outages and load-shedding.
- No electricity bills for running the fence.
- Makes electric fencing possible on off-grid land.
- Correctly sized systems avoid the common problem of undersized solar kits.
- Battery and voltage alarms warn you before the fence fails.
- Can be added to an existing mains fence as backup.
